Groz-Beckert, a global leader in textile technology since 1852, has been a key player in fabric production, collaborating closely with customers, partners, and machine builders across the industry. With deep expertise in knitting, weaving, tufting, felting, non-woven fabrics, and more, the company continues to drive innovation and efficiency in textile manufacturing.

During DTG 2025, Textile Today engaged in a conversation with Andreas Dietz, Managing Director at Groz-Beckert East Asia, to explore the company’s commitment to Bangladesh and its vision for the future of the textile industry.

Andreas Dietz said, “China remains the most competitive and important market, given its rapid development and strong presence of machine builders. However, when we look at the broader Asian region, countries like Vietnam and Cambodia often function as extended manufacturing hubs for China. Bangladesh, on the other hand, stands apart because its textile industry is deeply rooted in local investment and expertise.”

He also said, “While we are now seeing some Chinese investments in Bangladesh, the country must maintain its strong position in its textile sector. To compete with Chinese textile investments, Bangladesh must focus on efficiency, new technologies, and sustainability—and this is where Groz-Beckert aims to be a valuable partner.”

Furthermore, he added, “We have established a strong presence in Bangladesh, including a dedicated team and a local laboratory to support our partners in all aspects of textile production. Our goal is to collaborate with Bangladeshi manufacturers, exchange ideas, and drive innovations that will shape the future of the industry. I invite all our partners in Bangladesh to engage with us and explore new possibilities together.”

With its long-standing expertise and commitment to innovation, Groz-Beckert continues to support Bangladesh’s textile industry in achieving greater efficiency, technological advancement, and sustainability.
